Nursing Tea

This tea helps to boost milk production for breastfeeding/chestfeeding parents.

This tea contains fennel top and english mint. You'll receive about 1/2 oz of dried herbs, which should make around 5 cups of tea.

Fennel is believed to be a galactagogue, or a substance that increases breast milk. Fennel's reputation for enhancing breast milk is related to its natural estrogen-like properties.

English Mint helps to relax the body and is rich in phosphorus, calcium and vitamins like C, D, E and A which improve the body's systems. It also offers protection to the body's systems, which helps stave off chronic illness. It is also a naturally relaxing herb, which is a must for nursing. Mint has been known to adversely effect milk supply if used in very large quantities. You'd have to drink quarts daily for those effects to be apparent. Many people experience nausea during a let-down, so the relaxation and anti-nausea effects of the mint is of benefit to the nursing person in small quantities.

Instructions for use: Combine 1-2 teaspoon of loose herbal tea with 8 ounces of hot water. Steep for 5 minutes. Strain the herbs and enjoy. 

Each bag contains 1 cup of herbs weighing approximately 1.5 ounces. This will yield 20+ servings per container.
